all the songs, written and composed by Pastor, are products of persistent
prayer and fasting, dedicated to the restoration and healing of God's
people. God is infinite and all-powerful. Jesus went about doing good
and healing all who were oppressed of the devil and all who were sick.
Everyone who came to Him for healing was healed. It is God's plan and
will to heal people -- physically as well as spiritually. This project
will encourage you to pray and seek God's face, and when you ask Him,
He will do something. It's time for you to experience the reality of God's
healing power.

An incredibly awesome reality is knowing the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior through the message of the Gospel - the "Good News" That's exactly what it is. The songs that I have written have come from the very depths of my heart. I pray as you listen, you will become more acquainted with Jesus, to the point you can sing with me, "1 know, yes I know, Cause it happened to me." My earnest prayer is that God would save the family and bring spiritual restoration to America and the world.

What a wonderful privilege to be raised in a Bible-believing home! My great-great grandmother received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1906 in Clay County, Kentucky. I was saved at the young age of five, and received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost at age six. At age eight I began playing the piano in our little country church. Many of the songs to which you will be listening have been handed down to me by the old saints. I pray they will enrich your life and increase your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
From the introduction by "Big Tom," Pastor Tom Bates' father, until the conclusion of the last song, it is obvious that Pastor Bates was indeed "born to serve the Lord." Through his anointed singing, gifted piano playing, and powerful testimony, he radiates the love, joy, and power of the Lord. The Old Time Way is a celebration of the great heritage left to us by our Appalachian Pentecostal forefathers. Although everything in these last days seems to be moving at breathtaking speed, we need to hold on to the wonderful things which have been handed down to us by those who blazed a trail for us to follow. Though our surroundings seem to change almost daily, The Old Time Way reminds us that God never changes, that He is still on the throne, and that He will always make a way for us to not only survive but to overcome.
