“Then Satan answered the Lord and said, ‘Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” Job 1:9, 10
Although God often get thanks and gratitude for the good that comes in life, all too often He gets the blame for the bad. The Bible says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Only good comes from God. Every good and perfect thing in our lives comes from the goodness of the Lord. The bad that comes our way is directly from Satan, the prince of darkness. The Bible tells us, “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5. No darkness at all! “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5. Darkness and light cannot abide together at the same time. Dark times are sure to come in our lives and God may allow them for various reasons; to teach us a lesson, or to make way for a bigger blessing. Yet, as long as we mistakenly blame God for the darkness, we are unable to fully trust Him and as result unable to experience the greater blessings He has in store.
God wants to remind you today that “He can do ALL things.” He can restore your marriage, your finances, your health and your joy. But you must take all limitations off of Him, including blame. Just because you haven’t seen the miracle yet, doesn’t mean He’s not working it out. He will time it just right to ensure that all who witness will know He is the King!
Be blessed today knowing that God only wants what’s best for you and your loved ones. Get ready to experience His greatness!
