“I cry out to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy.

I pour out before Him my complaint; before Him I tell my trouble.” Psalm 142:1, 2

Do you feel imprisoned on a daily basis by debilitating thoughts, emotions, and fears? Do you carry a burden for the healing and deliverance of family and friends that has yet to be lifted?  God’s word clearly tells us in 2 Timothy that we were not given a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
Friend, if you are bombarded by negative thoughts and fears throughout your day, it is not of God.  Your soul has become imprisoned.  And a soul that is imprisoned cannot experience the pure joy and blessings the Lord has in store. Your soul becomes imprisoned when the will, mind and/or emotions are darkened by thoughts of hopelessness, helplessness, and fear. But, praise God there is a light that can infiltrate that darkness! Psalms 142: 1, 2 depicts exactly how you and I can break the chains of prison on our soul.   In times of turmoil, we must open our mouths unto God and cry aloud. Pour out our complaints and concerns, tell Him our troubles. The Bible says the fervent prayers of the righteous will be heard. God hears your prayers and comes to your rescue.  God may not answer your prayers on your timetable, or even how you expect Him to, yet you must persevere in your prayer life. Make no mistake, prayer can and will bring light into the darkness and a soul out of prison.
Pour out your soul in prayer this week and Find Freedom!
