I am a Witness of The Word of God
Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you, but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.” Acts 26:28, 29
We often hear that the Bible is still the number one best seller of all times. Unfortunately, there are still those who question the authority of the Word of God. And more unfortunate still, is the fact that History classes in public schools around the country are unable to share the historical facts surrounding the authenticity of God’s Holy Word. Let me share just a few facts with you:
Did you know that more than 40,000 fragments of writing from the Bible have been documented to have been found and that every original book of the Bible has been recovered by archeologists with the exception of the book of Esther?
Did you further know that that approximately 32 characters in the New Testament were also written about in other historical documents of that time period? Further providing proof that they were real people and not just made up stories for our enjoyment and learning.
Did you also know that a popular piece of literature written during the time period of Jesus was The Iliad. A mere 643 copies of the Iliad were produced compared to the nearly 25,000 copies of the New Testament.
The Old Testament has been protected and preserved with great care, and to date more than 2.5 million copies of the Bible have been sold. It is the only book that is the true and inherent Word of God. If you own a Bible, you are a witness to truth, not fiction, a witness to a saving power, and a witness to the history book that was provided to you for direction, comfort, peace and wisdom. Take your stand in history today; and be a witness to the Word of God!
