Three small words that are packed with power and feeling, “I am alone!”  At some point in life we have all felt alone in our circumstances.  Feeling alone erupts out of fear.  We feel alone when we fear that no one can understand or rescue us from our situation.   When we admit that we are afraid, it opens wide the door for God to come in and comfort us and provide the direction and wisdom needed.  Fear is overcome by faith, and by speaking God’s promises into our situations.  The devil would like you to think that you are alone and that no one will come to your rescue.  God wants you to activate your faith and overcome the fear of feeling alone by doing the following:

  1. Boldly speak scripture into your situations.  Romans 8:28, “We know that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.”  God can take ANY situation and use it for your good and His glory!
  2. Claim the truths of the Gospel. Mark 11:24, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”  God wants to release blessings in your life, your part is to ask, believing you have already received!
  3. Position yourself to hear God’s voice.  Isaiah 30:21, “And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.”  Spend precious time in God’s Word everyday and you’ll soon begin to hear that still small voice.

God wants to direct your every path, heal every disease, bring you out of oppression and place you on a firm foundation.  As you go about your week, pray for the wisdom and discernment of the Lord, and the ability to hear as Samuel finally did responding, “Speak Lord for your servant is listening!”

As always, I am saving you a seat at Community Family Church!

Love y’all

Pastor Tom
