“He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8
We are all planted someplace. Just as the parable that Jesus taught the disciples about the farmer and his crops in Matthew 13; “He was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop.” But all had been planted.
Many often wonder how to become more firmly planted in God. Unfortunately for you and I today, the answer is not found in many of our churches. Churches today are filled with wolves in sheep clothing attempting to trick unknowing seekers and teach them that God’s love can be found simply in relationship with one another and that acceptance is the answer.
This distorted way of thinking leads many down the wrong path and farther from Jesus than when they started. Friend, the only way to get planted firmly in the Savior is to remain steadfast and true to Him. If you want to be found righteous the day Christ makes His triumphant return, you must begin now to ask the Holy Spirit to plant you in the saving love of Jesus Christ. When you call out to the Holy Spirit and simply say, “Holy Spirit Plant me!” The Holy Spirit will plant you in three areas:
The Holy Spirit will Plant you in God’s Word. Make no mistake. Unlike what many modern day preachers are preaching from the pulpit, the Word of God is as relevant for you and I today, as it was to the disciples more than two thousand years ago. Ask the Holy Spirit to firmly plant you in God’s Word, so that you can grow closer to your Savior everyday.
The Holy Spirit will Plant you in the House of the Lord. We were born with an inherent need to be be connected to one another. You become like those you are around. Ask the Holy Spirit to plant you around others of like faith so that you will be able to build up and encourage one another as the Word says.
The Holy Spirit will Plant you in the Presence of the Lord. Experiencing the presence of the Lord is unlike any experience I know. Feeling the power of His presence allows you to lay your burdens at the foot of the cross and rest in His holy presence. The Bible says ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door shall be opened.
When you pray for the Holy Spirit to do a work in your life, you can be sure that He will plant you firmly in the Word surrounded by other believers in His house who are filled with His mighty presence!
Praying for a great awakening in your life and for your loved ones!
We love you all and we’re saving you a seat at Community Family Church!
