Shining for the World to See
The image of being a bright city on a hill for the world to see is more than a metaphor. As each new tragedy comes to pass, the world is watching to see what the church will do, and how we’ll react. There are those who want to see the church fail, but Jesus will draw many others with the light we shine in these dark times.
Praise God for His gift of the Holy Spirit as our constant Counselor! God anoints you with the same power as Daniel, Isaiah, Esther and David the moment you surrender to Him. Because of your positioning with Him, demons see the anointing. When you enter a place, the shining light of the Holy Spirit makes the darkness flee. God has given you the anointing of the Spirit in order to change things around you.
God calls us while we’re still surrounded by darkness, and while someone else is shining His light. Once God has called you into His presence, there’s no turning back. After He has refined your faith through the tests of life, you’re then fit to shine and bring others into the knowledge of His grace. Others going through battles and storms will see that light and God will be able to use you to reflect His love and goodness to those in need.
Just as He commanded our hearts to him, He also commands the light within us to shine out into darkness of the world. The same God that commanded the light to shine out of darkness has also commanded the light to shine in your heart. We have the Spirit of God inside of us! So, that means everywhere we go, the Spirit is there.
The Lord has committed His grace to shine upon us. Because of this gift, we must also commit to shine His light into the darkness of the world. Through all that God does for us, there should be a stirring within us to reflect this grace outwardly.
Fueled by the Holy Spirit, we bring hope to the hopeless and life to the dying! We have a responsibility in these last days. You must push back against the despair and destruction we’re seeing in the world. Wouldn’t you love to see the fire of God spread throughout your family, workplace, neighborhood, city, and the world? First, we have to fuel the flame within our own lives if we want to make a difference out in the world.
Through Christ, we are anointed, called, commanded, committed, and fueled to shine His bright light, bringing love and hope to those around us. Now, it’s your turn to shine. Take these messages and use them to change the world. We are quickly running out of time to spread the Gospel of Jesus to those who are perishing. The door is slamming shut. This is the time for you to rise up and fight against the darkness!
We love y’all and we’re praying for you. We’re saving you a seat at Community Family Church!
